ABP Cahir thank all who walked for Ukraine

Published 10 months ago 17th May 2022 by Jamie O’Flaherty

ABP Food Group Cahir held a 5k fundraising walk on Bank Holiday Monday May 2 in support of the Ukraine Fund. With the sun shining a great crowd turned up on the day and all were in great form for a walk!

The meeting point for the start of the walk was at the ABP Cahir car park at 12 noon and the walk was a 5k loop. Some seasoned runners left ahead of time and but everyone was back in just over an hour.

Refreshments were served afterwards and everyone enjoyed the delicious burgers and ice cream after the long walk. There was also lots of chat and everyone had a great time. There was a great turnout and all were delighted to take part in a walk with ABP and Ukrainian colleagues while also raising funds for Ukraine. The entry fee and donations are to be matched by ABP in support of the Ukraine Fund and the amount raised was a fantastic €4,100.

Thanks go to Andy Moloney & Cahir Community Gardai for helping with traffic management on the main road during the walk, thanks also to all ABP employees, friends and townsfolk who supported the walk and thanks also to Kearney Catering, who cooked the delicious ABP burgers and the ice cream van that tagged along on the day to treat everyone. Well done to all involved.
