Vee Rovers FC

Published 4 months ago 25th September 2021 by PJ

The Juniors game on Sunday was a home fixture against Clonmel Town in the League. It was backs to the wall for the Rovers defence right from the start and despite their best efforts we found ourselves three goals down at the break. The Rovers strike force lived off scraps and rarely tested the Town keeper but worked hard trying to influence the game.

The second half produced much more of the same and Clonmel Town added two more goals late on to run out 5-0 winners. In between Rovers had a claim for a goal dismissed and we also saw an excellent penalty save from the home keeper Thomas Quirke after a very dubious award.
