Congratulations to Anne Walsh (H/C 40) who won the 18 Hole V-Par competition on Sunday 12th September with a score of +2. Great scoring Anne !

Tuesday Morning Ladies

Our Ladies enjoyed good golf and fun last Tuesday 14th September with thanks to our Seniors Convenor Margaret Costello who diligently makes the weekly Draws, arranges Tee Times and follows up with the wonderful coffee and scones from Lore and Kay in the restaurant.

Results: Winners with 73 Pts were Noreen Hally, Linda Harris, Ann Mulcahy, Mag Tobin. Second with 71 Pts were Mary Comerford, Ann Corbett, Hilary Murphy, Maureen McEvoy.

Third with 68 Pts were Imelda Buckley, Josie Walsh, Imelda Dilleen, Fiona Rea.
Thursday 16th September OPEN 3 Ball Champagne Scramble

With a fabulous array of prizes to be won very kindly sponsored by Curtains & Blinds, Clonmel, the time sheet filled fast and playing conditions were good in pleasant weather. The scoring was tight with a point the dividing line. 1st. Anne Fitzgerald (H/C 23), Margaret Geary O’Sullivan (H/C 39), Lisa Blackett (H/C 38) 101 Pts

2nd. Hilary Murphy (H/C 31), Jean Rogers (H/C 36), Pauline Mulcahy (H/C 31). 100 Pts 3rd. Julie Connolly (H/C 22), Susan Carey (H/C 22), Rosaleen Fitzgerald (H/C 29) 99 Pts Visitors Prize was won by Marian Power (H/C 29), Breda Foley (H/C 36), Phil White (H/C 28) of Slievenamon Golf Club with 95 Pts.

It is hard to believe we have reached the Autumn and are into playing for The Hampers!

Hamper No. 1 will be played for over Thursday 23rd, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September. Stroke Competition, GOY 13 and No Re-Entry Lady Captain Ger Lyons Prize Day Preparations are in full flow for Saturday 2nd October, Lady Captain’s Prize, 18 Hole Stroke Competition.

Draw for playing partners on Wednesday 29th September.
Lady Captain has arranged 9 Hole Stableford competition for Monday 27th September for Senior Ladies unable to participate in the 18 Hole Stroke. A lovely week of golf ahead for all Members.


Our ABP open singles qualifiers are getting to the final stages. The latest qualifier took place over the 14th and 15th of September. In Category 1 Con O’Driscoll shot 39 points playing of 4. Solid shooting Con! In Category 2 Anthony Cullinan had 40 points playing off 15 and Category 3 went to Pat Walsh with 41 points playing off 25.

Our Free Sub Competition will take place the 24th to the 26th of September. Entry €10. The timesheet for this competition is in the Pro Shop.

The South Munster Seniors will play a 3 Ball Scramble at Cahir Park Golf Club on Tuesday September 28th. 60 plus and a handicap limit of 24 index. Members €5 and Visitors €12.
