New students welcomed to Presentation Secondary School Clonmel
On Monday, the 30th of August, the Presentation Secondary School Clonmel opened its doors to 98 new first year students. Welcoming the new students into the Pres community were Mr Michael 0' Loughlin (Principal), Mrs Roisin Hennessy (Deputy Principal), Mr Martin 0' Loughlin (Year Head) and the 6th Year Leaders.
During their first day, the new students were given guided tours of the campus, assigned their timetables and class groups, and had a class photograph taken – not to mention plenty of chatting out on the brand new lunch benches! The core first year timetable include: English, Gaeilge, Maths, History, Geography, CSPE, SPHE, Religion and P.E.
The options timetable includes: Science, Music, Art, German, French, Home Economics, Computer Studies and Business Studies. First year students can also look forward to participating in extra curricular activities subjects of the such as Gaelic football, camogie, basketball, spike ball, dance, choir, debate club, coding, environment committee and much more. Under the care and guidance of a highly professional management and teaching team, the new first year students at the Presentation Secondary School Clonmel will have every opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and spiritually over the next number of years.
