Two young fighters made their professional debuts on the night. First up we had Alex Meagher, a young prospect with a lot of amateur bouts to his name. He stepped in for his first professional fight coming away with a dominant unanimous decision points victory.
Next we had Tadhg Burke in his first professional bout also. Tadhg knocked his opponent down twice with head kicks and in round 3 and 4 and cruised to a unanmious points decision.
Finally we had Erik Hehir in a huge domestic fight between two of the best high level professionals in the country. Erik did not have it all his own way, going down via a head kick in round 4. However, in Rocky movie fashion he came back in round 5 knocking his opponent down twice with a spinning elbow followed by a flying knee! Erik took the win via unanimous decision.
Our next outing will be October 2nd in Cork in an outdoor marquee event. It will feature Alex and Tadhg in their second professional bouts and the debut of a new young fighter to the Pro level, Conor Walsh.
