Our Senior hurlers take on Burgess on Sunday next, September 21st at 5.30pm in The Ragg in Round 2 of the Seamus O’ Riain Co. Senior Hurling Championship. Please get up to The Ragg to support the boys on Sunday.

On Saturday evening last, our Junior ‘A’ footballers had a good win over Clerihan in their 2nd game of the championship. Well done lads.

Fr. Sheehy’s u/11 team, shield winners at the Mark Doyle hurling tournament in Ballylooby

Our u19s ran out comfortable winners against Cahir on Wednesday last. We play St Mary’s in Fethard this Wednesday (tonight) with the game throwing in at 6.30pm. Check out our Facebook page for the result of that game.

Our u17’s had a good win over Killenaule last week. This week, we took on St. Mary’s on Monday night in Carrick. Check out our Facebook page for the result of that game.

Our u15’s lost out to Mullinahone last week in an entertaining game at Pairc na nEalaí.

This Thursday, we travel to Goatenbridge to take on the Ballybacon/Newcastle combo team, with the game throwing in at 6.15pm.

Our u13 B’s lost out to Mullinahone on The Green last week while our u13 D’s lost out to Fethard on Sunday morning in Fethard. Unlucky boys.

On Wednesday evening, our u11’s welcomed Mullinahone to The Green for some games.

Also on Wednesday, our u7 kids welcomed Ballyneal/Grangemockler into Pairc na nEalaí for some games.

On the camogie front, our u12 girls lost out to Portroe in the u12 Shield County Final on Sunday morning while our u18 ladies lost out to Moyle Rovers in the championship opener on Sunday evening.

Well done to our u14 camogie player, Claire Connolly who represented Tipperary in a Munster Championship blitz at the weekend. Tipperary beat Cork in the final to win the

competition with Claire playing a blinder throughout the day. Well done to the Tipp u14 girls, and a massive well done to Claire.

The club would like to sincerely thank Tom Kennedy Electrical and Lee Keane for putting in the long voluntary hours that has resulted in the car park and one side of the field being lit up. Thanks Tom and Lee, we are very appreciative.

We now move on to the far side of the pitch and will shortly be installing lighting at that side too which will give us a fully functional, fully lit main pitch and training pitch. Pairc na nEalai ‘where the work continues’.

Projects like the floodlight project, and many more past and future projects aren’t achievable without the kind support and generosity of the people of Carrick-On-Suir when it comes to supporting our 12 Days of Christmas Draw.
