Bansha Celtic 4
Vee Rovers 1

Daire Egan in action against Vee Rovers in the TSDL Premier League

Bansha started the game well and had a number of chances early on, but it was the away side who struck first when the home side failed to clear a free kick allowing the Vee Rovers striker to finish from close range. Vee had a period of dominance after the goal with Bansha struggling to get going.

Bansha eventually got level on the half hour mark when Bernard Fitzgerald finished well at the back post. HT 1-1.

The second half started with both sides struggling to break each other down. Bansha took the lead on the hour mark when Killian Fitzgerald headed a corner kick back across the goal and Tony Egan was on hand to head the ball into the top corner. Bansha started to get on top after this and Tony Egan extended Banshas lead when he was on the end of a Stephen O’Dwyer corner kick to make it 3-1.

The game was put to bed with 10 mins to go when Niall Daly got on the end of a Bernard Fitzgerald through ball and finished to the corner.
