Disappointing Loss in South Tipp SH Final
After a good win in the South Tipp semi-final against Carrick Swan supporters of CJK were disappointed on Saturday last when they went down by 1-20 to 2-14 to Killenaule in the final.
Two Mullinahone goals came late in the game, but were not in time to salvage a win which had seemed doubtful for much of the game. At half time Killenaule had led 1-10 to 0-08. Their goal had come in the run in to half time and left CJK with too much to do in the second half. The final score was Killenaule 1-20, CJK 2-14. The locals lined out: A. Walsh, D. O’Brien, P. Curran, C. Shelly, K. Walzer, E. Fennelly, A. Curran, K. Bolger, S. Curran, E. Keane, J. Shelly, M. Dunne, E. Kelly, M. Kehoe, M. O’Shea. Subs used: E. O’Dwyer & E. Ryan.
The team and supporters will now have to concentrate on the upcoming games in the Dan Breen and hopefully an improved display.
