Vintage Wheels In Motion for 2021 Trip Thru Tipp Fundraiser
The Trip Thru Tipp event took place July 24th with a great turnout by bikers and motor enthusiasts all united in supporting this annual fundraising event. Visitors and participants congregated at the Tipperary Town Plaza where Disney characters entertained the kids who marvelled at a rabbit riding a motorcycle whist the Tipperary Vintage Rally crew shook buckets for donations happily filled by wonderful supporters. Chairperson of the Tipperary Vintage Rally Frances O’Brien praised the volunteers.

“The Tipperary Vintage Rally crew are an amazing group of volunteers who to date have raised over €200K for South Tipperary Hospice and other local charities. Jack Leonard and his family started Trip Thru Tipp twelve years ago inviting motorcyclists and vintage car devotees to travel through Tipperary to raise funds for the South Tipperary Hospice and local charities. The event has grown from strength-to-strength, and we were delighted with the turnout for 2021.”
Over 160 bikes, Trikes and Vintage cars gave a wonderful display as they travelled through neighbouring villages and towns. This year the Red Cross will also be a recipient of funds raised alongside the South Tipp Hospice. “I’m delighted to announce that the 2021 Trip Thru Tipp raised €4,663.60 of which €2,331.80 will go to the Tipperary Branch of the Red Cross with the remaining monies going towards the monies raised for South Tipp Hospice,” said Chairperson Frances O’Brien. “Thank you so much to all the participants, volunteers and supporters for helping us raise this amount of money. It was a brilliant family day in which we also remembered our deceased friends Tommy (tit) Ryan and Allan Byrne.”
