Vee Rovers F.C.
uniors; Vee Rovers kicked off their season on Sunday after the long lay off with an away fixture to Peake Villa at Thurles. Fielding a much changed side and short a number of players for various reasons, this was always going to be a big task and so it proved. The home side took the lead on nineteen minutes and added three more goals before the break. On a rare attack from Rovers it took an excellent save from the home keeper to prevent a goal. Resolute defending and hard work kept the opposition at bay for the second half and hopefully there will be better days for Rovers.
