Junior Football

It was the turn of our Junior A Footballers to begin their Championship campaign when they played Ballingarry last Wednesday night in Mullinahone. The first half was a tight affair however we went in 2 points up at half time on a scoreline of 5 pointsto 3. In the second half a goal from a penalty from Matt McCormack gave us some breathing space and put us 6 points up. However Ballingarry came back and narrowed the gap back to 3 points. It wasn’t until a goal from Aidan Fitzgerald gave us a lead we wouldn’t relinquish and ran out winners on a scoreline of 2-9 to 9 points.

The team on the night was: Marcus O Halloran, Barry O Dwyer, PatrickMoroney, Colm Dunne, Aidan Fitzgerald, Ciaran Mockler, Keith Morrissey, Eoin Ryan, Conor Duggan, Conor Clancy, Joey Noonan, Pauric O Brien, Matt McCormack, Cathal Mahoney, Darren Boland, Ryan Crannitch, Cian Crannitch, Mikey O Brien, Conor Gorey, Michael Boland, Cathal Foley, Sean Ryan, James Fitzgerald, Luke Fox.Our Junior A Footballers are out again this Wednesday 11th August against Newcastle in Ned Hall Park Clonmel at 7:30.
