Vice Captains

Friday 13th to Sunday 15th August features Vice Captains Prizes to Ladies and Men GOY 8. We wish our Vice Captains Marga-ret Gill and Gary Morrison a very successful and enjoyable weekend. Booking via BRS or through Pro Shop.

Irish U-16 Championship

From the 17th August to 20th August incl., Cahir Park Golf Club is honoured to host Irish Boys U-16 Open Championship. We look forward to welcoming Golf Ireland Offi-cials and all the U16 Boys and their Families

Morrisons BMW Cahir Park Golf Club Pro-Am

Our 2021 Pro-Am will take place on Tues-day August 10th. More on this in next weeks notes.


A very successful Captain’s weekend for Francis McCarthy concluded with Singles S/F on Bank Holiday Monday. Ladies Com-petition, played in teeming rain was won by Anne Fahy (H/C 36) 42 pts. The deluge continued midday Tuesday for our Seniors and true grit and determination won out. A large group played returning great scores. Teams of Four Winners were Norma O’Brien, Imelda Fitzpatrick, Jo Doyle, Catherine MacMahon, 71 pts closely followed by Mary Kenrick, Jo Fahy, Phil O’Connor, Kay Dal-ton, 70 pts.Teams of Three Winners were Lady Captain Ger Lyons, Ann McLaughlin, Cathy O’Gor-man, 64 Pts again closely followed by Imelda Buckley, Maureen McEvoy, Eleanor Cum-mins, 63 pts.As always a huge thanks to Margaret for or-ganising the very successful Tuesday com-petition which takes a break now resuming 24th August.Thursday 5th August, 18 Hole S/F was won by our Vice Captain Margaret Gill.

Intermediate Team

Our Intermediate Panel of Joanne Quaid, Catherine Costigan, Julie Connolly, Susan Carey, Breda Keating, Patricia Browne and Miriam Halley played great golf in recent rounds of Intermediate Cup and unfortu-nately were unsuccessful against Temple-more. Thank you to the Panel and to Team Manag-ers Mary Lyons and Cathy O’Gorman for all the effort and time you put into the matches and the enjoyment you gave your Club col-leagues.
