Top Class Tipperary Sport’s Women Inspire Pupils at St Michael’s GNS
Pupils at St. Michael’s Girls NS were inspired to receive a response from History making jockey, Rachel Blackmore.

3rd class sent Rachel a huge card after her huge success at The Grand National with congratulations and telling the athlete how the school was so proud of her. A few weeks later the Principal arrived at the door with a letter especially for the class.
“The pupils were inspired that Rachel had taken time to write back to them. She thanked us for the ‘biggest card’ she had ever received and said it was a wonderful surprise when she returned home from Aintree and that she would keep it forever,” explained Principal Ms. Íde Mooney. “Rachel sent us autographed photos of herself and her horse. She is a wonderful role model and a great ambassador for women in Sport.”
