Intercounty Roundup
In what was very busy week for our Intercounty teams Tipperary put out three teams this week. Our County U14s were first out when they opened their Munster Championship campaign when they travelled to Brosna, Co. Kerry on Tuesday night July 20th. Played in tropical like conditions Tipperary battled hard through and were unfortunate to lose out on a scoreline of Kerry 3-11 Tipperary 2-10.
The U14s next game will be against Cork at home on Tuesday August 3rd next. Time and venue to be confirmed. We would like to take this opportunity to wish our player Leah McGrath a speedy recovery from her injury in this game. On Wednesday night July 21st our County U16s played host to Cork in Cahir again the conditions were sweltering. Cork got off to a dream start with a goal to open their account and raced into an early lead. Tipperary did fight back but unfortunately lost out on a scoreline of 4-15 to 1-04. Our U16s our out again this week on Wednesday July 28th when they face Kerry in round 2 of the Munster Championship in Legion GAA Club, Killarney. Throw in for this game
is at 7.15pm. Best of luck to the team and Management. On Friday July 23rd our Senior Ladies travelled to O’Moore Park in Portlaoise and suffered their second defeat of the TG4 All Ireland Championship. They now face Kerry in a Relegation play off on the Weekend of August 21st/22nd.
