The participants in the Clonmel CTC made the garden seat from old donated pallets and presented it to Circle of Friends last week.

“This was a lovely gesture from the group that our visitors will treasure,” said Nora Hoare, Circle of Friends. “A big thank you to all the participants for making this seat and to their CTC Manager Una O’Dwyer for co- ordinating the presentation. Your thought- fulness and generosity is much appreciated.”

Christy Hoban, Woodwork Instructor at Clonmel CTC led the project. “The CTC can be very proud of their learners for making this fabulous seat. The group appropriately named the seat Safe Haven and I’m sure it will be used for many years.”

The CTC is a training centre offering courses in Hairdressing, Beauty Catering and general learning. They youth division CYTE, offers young people a safe environ- ment where they can develop skills and knowledge to help them take up further training to make plans for the future.
