Congratulations to Luke Morrissey who has made the South Tipp U14 Development squad. The club wishes Luke the best of luck in the Peadar Cummins U14 inter division U14 county championship in the upcoming weeks.

Well done and congratulations to Leigh Murphy and Shane O’Brien who have both made the South U14 Divisional squad. They both had their first run out this week with a challenge game in Dungarvan. The club wishes them well and looks forward to seeing their journey in the county divisional championship in the next few weeks.

Our Annual Cul Camp took place this week. A big thank you to all who helped out. The kids had a great time over the week.

The club will be holding a Golf Classic in Cahir Park Golf Club on September 3rd. We hope to announce further details on this event in the near future.

Wellness weekend at Ballyboy House plus Tea & Coffee for St Theresa’s Hospital Clogheen.

Inviting all adults seeking some peace and quiet. We are holding a Wellness Weekend in Ballyboy House, Clogheen on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th of July.

This is a community event supported by Tipperary County Council. The aim of the Wellness Weekend is to give people a chance to try activities that promote health and wellbeing, especially because of the benefits of spending time in nature.


The event begins with a free talk by Dr. Mark Rowe on the connection with wellness and nature. Pre-booking is essential. We will have outdoor yoga classes, forest bathing, Indian head massage, reflexology and garden tours. All tickets are available on Eventbrite @6.19 euro per activity. We will also be serving tea, coffee and cakes (sponsored by Brownes XL Shop, Clogheen) with donations for these going to St. Theresa’s Hospital Clogheen.

Rhododendron Walking Festival

The Harvest Walking Festival will take place on 4th/5th September this year in lieu of the cancelled Rhododendron Walking Festival More details coming soon with spectacular new walks on hidden trails showing off the stunning scenery of the Galty Vee Valley

Sympathy

The unexpected passing of Seán Kevin Ryan, Maughera, Ardfinnan was received with much regret throughout the local area. We extend our sympathy to his wife Joan sons Declan & Kevin daughters Carmel, Mary & Joanne, brothers Jim & Fr. Pat extended family & friends. Seán’s requiem mass took place in St John the Baptist Church on Friday July 16th followed by internment in adjoining cemetery. May he rest in peace.

Sympathy

Sympathy to Mrs Maureen Lonergan & all the Lonergan family, Goatenbridge extended relatives & friends on the sad & unexpected passing of Martin. He was well known throughout the area & Municipal District. Martin achieved a lot in his young life & was a fantastic Community activist. Martin was laid to rest in Ballybacon after mass in the nearby St Mary’s Church on Sat July 24th.
