Rachael Blackmore
Tipperary County Council accorded a virtual civic reception to Killenaule jockey Rachael Blackmore from the civic chamber in Clonmel on Thursday last.

Rachael’s parents Charles and Eimir were in attendance on what was an incredibly proud occasion for the Blackmore family as the highest civic honour was bestowed on their superstar Rachael.

The virtual ceremony was a beautiful occasion capturing the formal granting of the civic honour while also providing an insight into the life of Rachael and her loving family members.

A replay of the famous Grand National win was shown on screen as Rachael recalled in detail the intricate task of navigating Minella Times to victory at the famous Aintree venue.

Rachael thanked everyone who sent her letters and messages of congratulations and said it meant so much to her. Congratulations Rachael from everyone at The Premier.
